CeraVe: Hydrating Facial Cleanser

When I began my journey to clear skin, I saw a dermatologist who recommended me to use all products related to Aveeno. However, given that I’m a low maintenance kinda girl who just started getting into skincare this brand was too pricey for me. I wanted to try something more affordable that still got the job done. Fortunately, I came across products from CeraVe which saved my life for my skin and my wallet!

My favorite facial cleansing products from CeraVe are the Hydrating Facial Cleanser and CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser. Not only are these products super affordable but they just do the trick when it comes to thoroughly cleaning your pores while hydrating your face.

It’s important that I note the first product I used from CeraVe was the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser because I wanted to cleanse my pores of built-up dirt and oil and manage my acne. However, once my skin began to clear I switched over to the CeraVe: Hydrating Facial Cleanser to improve my skin’s hydration and the dry/tight feeling across the skin.

CeraVe: Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum 10% Pure Vitamin C

Another CeraVe product that I now live by is the CeraVe: Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum with 10% vitamin C. I’ve always heard of the benefits of vitamin C and always wanted to try it but was deterred by the pricing. Though this product is on the higher end of CeraVe products, I believe that it’s definitely worth it! This has helped brighten up the acne scars and begin my journey to anti-aging as vitamin C helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

The Ordinary: Niacinamide 10% +Zinc 1%

After hearing about this brand and specifically this product from influencers on social media such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube I wanted to see if the hype was worth it and see if it would work on my oily and acne-prone skin. I was afraid I would break out given my sensitive skin; however, it did exactly the opposite and let’s just say I was wow’ed.

This product has become my holy grail in my skincare routine as it’s SUPER affordable and just does everything one would want in a skincare product including but not limited to increasing hydration, minimizing redness, reducing the appearance of pores, treating dark spots, and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. Need I say again it’s every skin care product put into one bottle.

Paula’s Choice: 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

I’m always looking for ways to help minimize the appearance of my pores. After searching the web and doing my own research, I saw so many people recommending Paula's Choice: 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant so I just had to try it. This product is more on the higher end side but it is SO worth it! I’ve noticed my pores to be tighter without my face feeling overly dry. The best part is that this product lasts SUPER long. In my opinion, this is the BEST product if you’re looking to minimize the appearance of your pores.

Cosrx: Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

If you know me, you’ll know that I’m afraid of every and any kind of critters. So how could I even think to use a product that uses the slimy excretions from snails!? I know it sounds crazy but this product is definitely worth the hype! It took my face from dull and dry to plush, smooth, and hydrated. So if you’re looking for a product to help your skin look more vibrant, soft, and hydrating I HIGHLY recommend this essence!

Beauty of Joseon: Relief Rice + Probiotics SPF 50+ PA++++

If there’s ONE thing I would recommend to have in a skincare routine it would be sunscreen! So many people underestimate the benefits of sunscreen and how it helps protect our skin from the ever glowing rays of the sun. One of the most common reasons for this is because most sunscreens aren’t pleasant to lather on the face. I understand this as I used to play competitive tennis and had to lather sunscreen on a daily basis. However, if I came across this product when I played, I think I would have lathered the whole bottle on my face. It’s just that good! Unlike many sunscreen products, this one does not leave a white cast and is super light and high in SPF to protect our skin from the harmful UV rays.

This sunscreen is on the higher end of sunscreen products; however, I justified my purchase with the knowledge that if there’s ONE thing I would invest in my skincare products that would be sunscreen.

Laneige: Water Sleeping Mask

Calling all my dry and combination girlies! If you’re looking for a face mask that’ll hydrate your face, make your skin more firm and plump, and create a soft appearance THIS product is IT! I tend to have oily skin in the spring and summer months; however, as the seasons change my skin moves towards the combination spectrum and in some cases gets super dry. To combat this, I’ve tried various hydrating products including moisturizers and face masks with minor success. But after trying this product I always use it when my skin starts to feel dry. Not only does it lather on well and smells divine, but it doesn’t smudge all over your pillows or blankets throughout the night! My face always feels so hydrated, plump, and soft after I use it and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

After using these products the appearance of my skin has improved and has felt plump, clean, hydrated, and smooth. As a woman who has struggled with acne, seasonal skin changes, and tried various products I couldn’t recommend these skin care products even more. I’m so glad I get to share them with you to help you reach your desired skin goals.
